Intuitive Arts and Healing Fair

Doubles in Size, Set for Saturday

(By Myles Murphy - Ashland Daily Tidings - 2001?)

The Intuitive Arts and Healing Fair was such a hit last year that organizer Barbara Lee has had to move the event to a larger venue to accommodate the growth. At last year's event, Lee had to turn away about 20 prospective exhibitors because of lack of space, she said.

"It's twice as big this year," Lee said. "The feeling last year was such a feeling of community and everybody made wonderful connections."

Lee, a clairvoyant, professional astrologer, Reiki master teacher, yoga teacher and a horoscope columnist, brings together similar professionals for a fair twice a year in Ashland.

The fair will be at the historic Ashland Armory, 208 Oak St. 10am to 7pm on Saturday, May 19 and 10am to 6pm on Sunday, May 20.

A number of free lectures scheduled for both days will cover Amazonian Flower essences, sacred medicine of the animals, Reiki, group experiences of divine love, feng shui, reincarnation, past life regression, UFOs, radiant energies, healing Qigong, natural eyesight improvement, color therapy, aura photography, energy medicine, reflexology, massage and acupuncture.

"It's not going to be just psychics here - come play and check it out," Lee said. "It's about more than tarot cards and psychic readings. It's about how to improve your life and work toward growth."

The lectures start on the hours, and there also will be free coffee and pastries.

Other highlights include free sample group readings by Naomi Marie and spontaneous channeling with Amorah Quan Yin.

"If you ever wanted to see a psychic, this is your chance,"

Lee said. "Or talk to a clairvoyant or tarot reader who will offer a peek at your future." in addition to the more esoteric services and lectures, a colorful array of new age products such as crystals, Amazon herbs, jewelry and clothing from Bali will be on sale.

Admission is $5.00 a day and children younger than 13 are free. A raffle to benefit Dunn House will feature many gifts donated by community merchants.
