Psychic Fair Coming to Town

Palm readers, psychics, channelers and others will converge Saturday and Sunday, Nov 4-5, for the Intuitive Arts and Healing Fair at the Ashland Community Center, 59 Winburn Way, across from Lithia Park.

"This is an area where there's a lot of healing," said organizer Barbara Lee.

Lee is a self-described clairvoyant who has also been studying and practicing astrology, reflexology, Reiki, crystals and other esoteric subjects for about 20 years. She has lived in Ashland since 1974.

She has been to many similar fairs, but this is the first she has organized herself.

"It's only $5 for the whole weekend and there's all these free lectures. That's a deal," she said.

There will also be a number of regional specialists offering their services on tarot, chakra and palm reading, psychometry, aura vision, mysticism, soul essence healing, cranial sacral and intuitive counseling.

A representative from the Ashland-based Conversations with God Center will give information on the center.

"This will be an uplifting event for people who are curious and serious about their spiritual path," Lee said. "It's for people who want to grow and find new tools for their own personal growth, have fun and network with others."

Lee remembers fondly the first fair of this kind she attended, and hopes to bring that experience to others.

"My first, fair was exciting. I had my aura read and bought a beautiful crystal," she said.

There will also be books, food and other products for sale. New Age musicians De La Vare and Gary Cooper will perform in the afternoons both days.

Admission is $5 and covers both days. Children younger than 13 are free. The fair runs from 10 a.m. to 7 pm. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 pm Sunday. For information call 482-5471.
